DDProperty & DotProperty continue fighting on top

Time for an update of my previous report in Thailand, very interesting and very cluttered market with many players of all kind. Let’s check the traffic estimation from Similarweb for the top 20 property portals in Thailand:

top thailand property portals

Main players

We still have PropertyGuru’s DDProperty.com as the clear leader with the highest visits and pageviews estimation. Although we can see how the runner-up DotProperty have been pushing. As a reminded Thailand Property is also part of DotProperty and we can see an interesting increase of 55% in traffic (and 30% in bounce rate) since December 2018. So if we add up the metrics from both site, they have a total of almost 1.2 million visits and 6 million pageviews. Not so far.

Completing the top three we have Thai Hometown, classic classified style portal but still seems to be pretty popular in Thailand and they are not doing bad in search engines.

Behind them we have several portals which apparently has lost some traffic during this time: Home.co.th, iProperty’s owned ThinkofLiving and Hipflat. Although I’m not sure if the drop is real for the latter, I might be missing something.

Hybrid players on the rise

Mix of agency and property portal kind of players are popping up everywhere and Thailand is not an exception. Among them I would highlight Fazwaz, with presence in the whole Southeast Asia and the UAE. I believe they are doing a very interesting job, so worth following their progress.

That’s all of now, I have a few countries pending to update and eventually, I’d like to analyse other interesting markets like India, a continent by itself ;)
